The town mouse and the Country Mouse retold by Camden. R

Once upon a time a city mouse went to visit his cousin country mouse.  He lived in a barn with other farm animals like horses, cows, pigs, chickens, cats and dogs. The town mouse didn't like the straw beds so he said, "I'll take you home and show you how to live."
The country mouse was serious so he said, "I'll come with you."  So they arrived at the mouse town residence and they went in to the several storied hotel and they went down to the cellar, squeezed through a brick wall and got in to the cellar and saw cakes and muffins, pies, grapes and all the nice stuff.
Suddenly, woof woof.  The country mouse said, "What's that sound?"
"It's just the hotel dogs," said town mouse. Eek, the door opened and two humongous dogs stormed in the room. The country  mouse scattered with fear to the door. "Going so soon," said town mouse.
"Well yes, it's better to eat beans and bacon in peace then eat cakes and ale in fear"  squeaked the county mouse.  He sped on home back to the barn.

  1. What a fabulous story Camden. I think i would rather be a town mouse but i would be frightened of those scary dogs. You have used some very interesting vocab to make your story so interesting.
